Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself. He said this command is second only to loving God. I challenge you to "love your neighbor" in a new way.

We are forming visitation teams to be assigned to some of our elderly so they will get more frequent visits.  We are also forming work teams to do some of the projects that our elderly members can no longer do themselves. For instance, small home repairs: changing light bulbs, tightening up loose table legs, winterizing, painting or papering, straightening up clutter making sure rooms are accessible for walkers or wheelchairs. We’ll know more about these jobs once people start asking for help. That’s the other part of this project. Anyone who needs a job done should write their job on the list in front of my office and then come tell me their name and the number of their job. That way it will be more confidential. Only the people who actually do the job and I will know who had work done. Eventually I would like to build up a fund to assist those who can’t pay for paint or wood or whatever for repairs. This is one way we can do God’s work here in Warwick.

Why not reflect on what your skills and talents are and reach out to share them with someone who needs the benefit of your time and your experience?  God created us for a purpose. One of those purposes is to help one another.

Jesus came to help us and show us God’s love. What better way can we thank him than by emulating his example and helping others to know God’s love through our help.

Sign up to bring God’s love to God’s world.

What will you be giving up? Your time.

But oh, what blessings you will receive.

God’s love and blessings to you all.
